Watching Sports….

One of the greatest things about single again is there isn't any fight over the TV remote. You can watch sports 24 hours a day if you want to.

The AAF World Junior Championships last weekend in Barcelona certainly was entertaining. 19-year-old Michelle Jenneke who is a the Australian junior hurdler caught the eye of the media. I don't think it was for her ability to race, although she did fairly well. But her warm-up technique is a real winner. Here it is, in case you missed it:

It isn't any surprise that she is being " widely hailed online as "the world's sexiest hurdler." But there is some sad news too. Apparently she didn't qualify for the Olympics this summer. Perhaps all of the marriage proposals she has received will make up for this disappointment.

  1. I am new to developing websites and I was wondering if having your blog title relevant to your articles and other content really that crucial? I notice your title, “50+ and Alone ” does appear to be spot on with what your website is about yet, I prefer to keep my title less content descriptive and based more around site branding. Would you think this is a good idea or bad idea? Any assistance would be greatly valued.

    • Hi Harvey,

In my humble opinion you want your title and domain name to be descriptive of your content. You know someone might pull up one of my posts in Google and think, that even if they aren’t 50+ they might be interested in it and visit the site. But with a less descriptive title, I might get more visitors, but less interest in the content.

I develop websites. I had one client buy 100,000 hits that were promised in a package deal from a particular vendor. I watched his stats. Yes, his traffic peaked a bit, but there were no sales. So he wasted his time and money getting traffic to his website that wasn’t targeted traffic.

My conclusion would be, if the traffic isn’t targeted, it’s of little value.
