Here are some thing to do in the winter that do not cost a lot of money:

    • tobogganing
    • skating
    • snowshoe
    • visit museums
    • build an igloo
    • ice fishing
    • local fun events and festivals

The last item, of course depends on where you live. Here we are having…..

Free Winter Sport fishing Weekend is February 16-17, 2013. During these two days, residents and non-residents may fish without a general license. Please keep in mind that bag limits and all other sport fishing regulations will still apply.

Coming up this weekend is the Sutherlands Lake Trail Groomers 8th Annual Snowmobile Drag Racing on February 9, 2013. Races start at 11:00AM. Last year there were over 2,000 in attendance. Here is a video clip taken from last years races.

So you see… if you look hard enough, you can always find something to do.

What exciting things are going on in your area?

That looks like a lot of fun. Wish I was there to catch it. Do you race?

I have a snowmobile, but it isn’t real fast. It’s mostly used for the family.

    Hi Doug,

    I don’t have a snowmobile — ans even if I did, I don’t think I would be racing.

Because of a big snow storm we are having this weekend the races have been moved to February 16th.
